Taylor's Lakeside Campus

Taylor’s College was founded in 1969. The tertiary arm of Taylor’s Education Group, it was awarded University College status in 2006 by the Ministry of Higher Education. The group is one of Malaysia' pioneers in private education .The RM450 million Taylor's Lakeside Campus in Subang Jaya, which was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Sri Haji Mohd Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak in January 2007.

The Lakeside Campus houses all existing tertiary programs that were previously located at Taylor's various campuses in Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya and Sri Hartamas. Set on 27 acres of land, the campus is also surrounded by a revived 5.5 acre man-made lake, as well as a landscape of water plants, trees and flowering shrubs and groundcover which will provide a rich and stimulating natural environment in the neighborhood.
There are 20 lecture theaters in the campus, some are huge, and some are small, but awesome nonetheless. The new campus also boasts a 4-storey library; the library is open 6 days a week. There are 24/7 study areas which allows students to study till late night.

For communication programs, the new college site also boasts of state of the art sound studio where students could actually have a real life experience of working in a sound studio and learn how to professionally mix, edit and create audio works. It also has a comprehensive media labs like the splicing chamber for video editing and post processing, the iLab where dedicated Power Mac G5s installed with latest software packages assist students explore their creativity in creating awesome graphics, the PR station for public relation students to discuss and interacts, the Papparazi Pod where journalism students uses it for research and many more.

For hotel and tourism course there are world class restaurants and practical kitchens which really allow students to experience the real life situation of the hospitality industry. The culinary teaching facility is nothing like you have ever seen in Malaysia, it is the only campus locally that could pride itself in a 5 star restaurant set-up for the students to learn the trade.

For some stress out time and relaxation, there is the student life center where students basically can go and relax, play carom, pool, foosball, ping pong, or just listen to some of the songs played by fellow students with instruments provided at the center.

Hostel and accommodations are also included. The hostel block is adjacent to a boutique hotel known as the Taylor’s Application Hotel. There is also a restaurant serving meals throughout the day and a 24-hour mini mart. Taylor’s Application Hotel is operated by a group of full-time employees and selected students from the School of Hospitality & Tourism. Parents, visiting teaching professors and visitors would find it most convenient to stay within the campus area where everything is there.

The fully furnished, 6-storey hostel has more than 900 beds. There are a total of 132 units of apartments and units come complete with beds, mattresses, wardrobes and study tables and chairs. Students also have access to a pantry on every floor with a refrigerator and microwave, and locked storage space.

This is the place where academic, commercial, social and leisure are all designed to assimilate in a modern comprehensive setting ,a campus where architecture is in harmony with nature, where learning and the pursue of academic excellence is an experience that is truly memorable.
